Our Finance team are looking for a Management Accountant to join them in delivering full financial support, facilitating the team’s activities so as to maximize their performance.

This role would suit someone qualified, or part qualified with 5 years’ experience who has the desire to learn and progress.

Job Responsibilities:

Preparation of management accounts for 2 UK entities:

  • Month end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Variance analysis and commentary
  • Maintaining tight deadlines for reporting purposes
  • Assisting with budgets and forecasts
  • Liaising with external auditors as and when required
  • Reconciliation of project / contract invoicing
  • Preparation of monthly payroll
  • Shared remote supervision of two staff at the company’s subsidiary
  • Supporting transactional staff during busy periods / covering staff annual leave:

Purchase ledger:

  • Purchase ledger invoice entry
  • Supplier payments

Sales ledger:

  • Customer invoicing
  • Credit control
  • Bank transaction posting and reconciliations
  • Supporting the transition to a new ERP system

Other ad hoc tasks / duties as required by the Financial Controller

Skill Requirements:

  • Part-qualified (with 5 years’ experience) / qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA
  • Excellent Excel skills (to include pivot tables, lookups, if statements)
  • Good attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Experience of Sage 50 desirable
  • Calm and clear-minded under pressure
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise
  • Able to support the agile nature of Handsfree and the wider business, with additional responsibilities as and when required
  • Able to work collaboratively with all colleagues
  • Promotes quality whilst engaging in individual objectives and being aware of wider company vision
  • Contributes to improving existing systems and policies and driving excellence
