DVS, FORS, and Tracking into a Demo Refuse Collection Vehicle

Summary

Handsfree Group were invited by Faun Zoeller Ltd. to install a solution that would meet their safety and security requirements of DVS compliance, FORS Gold accreditation, and live vehicle tracking capability. This solution was implemented into Faun Zoeller’s new demo refuse collection vehicle.

Faun Zoeller is a leading waste management company which specialises in manufacturing high specification waste collection vehicles.

Challenges

This project was an important opportunity for Faun Zoeller, as this new demonstrator vehicle would be used to showcase their latest refuse technology to multiple local authorities. Several of these authorities were located within Greater London, meaning that DVS compliancy and FORS Gold accreditation were imperative to the success of the project.

Handsfree Group held multiple meetings with the Commercial Director, and Business Support & Supply Chain Manager of Faun Zoeller to discuss the project deliverables, agree upon an appropriate timescale, and organise the installation. Handsfree Group’s dedicated team – Sales, Planning, Projects, and Engineering – worked closely together to ensure that the solution provided all safety and security vehicle technology requirements requested by the customer.

Solution

Handsfree Group scheduled two of our fully trained, specialist FCS1362 and FITAS accredited installation engineers to attend the customers’ site and work through the installation.
