My only real connection to the royal family is via my father-in-law.
He has attended High Grove twice at the invitation of Prince Charles and was later awarded an MBE for his services to education. My other memory is of William and Kate’s Royal Wedding. Me and some of my closest friends chose to celebrate it by taking part in a game of pub golf.
